How BGMC Has Helped in Rwanda, Africa

Foreign missionaries Patrick and Jeanne Collins had literally worked themselves out of a job in Kenya. After 18 years of ministry there, they evangelized thousands of children and established an ongoing ministry that would be continued by the local, district, and national Assemblies of God leaders. Over 10,000 Kenyan children and adults had committed their lives to Jesus during the kids' crusades held by the Collins.

Now the Collins and their three children-Alicia, Ashley, and Patrick-are in Rwanda. Their mission is to evangelize the children in Rwanda and to establish national ministries for children's leaders. Rwanda has been torn by civil war, and thousands of families have been traumatized. But now the Collins are showing the kids in that African nation the love of God.

Here's the strategy the Collins are using to evangelize the children of Rwanda:

• Mentor and develop children's ministries leadership on a national level.
• Establish a district network of children's ministries that will cover the country of Rwanda.
• Establish children's ministries leadership among the districts of Rwanda and assist the Assemblies of God district leaders in that nation by conducting children's leaders training.
• Conduct children's ministry training seminars throughout Rwanda among the churches.
